President and CEO of Environics Research Group
Barry Watson is President and CEO of Environics Research Group and has been with the company since 1988.
As well as his management and strategic responsibilities, his activities currently involve traditional marketing and public opinion research and socio-cultural research as part of Environics’ Social Values project. He has directed a wide range of custom projects involving education, energy, natural resources, transportation, and general environmental topics.
Dr. Watson is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, and regularly briefs senior officials in government and industry on current issues. He had been active in industry associations and has served as president or a member of the board of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA), the Canadian Association of Market Research Organizations (CAMRO), and the Canadian Survey Research Council (CSRC). He holds the MRIA’s Certified Professional Marketing research Professional designation (CMRP) and in 2010 was elected as a Fellow of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association. He is a member of ESOMAR, the World Association of Marketing Research.
